Craig B. Powell

Craig B. Powell, 39, passed away August 10th, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born March 19, 1975, in Saratoga, to John and Connie Powell.  He grew up in Saratoga and graduated from Saratoga High School in 1993.  After high school, Craig pursued a degree at WyoTech in Laramie, and received a degree as a body technician. He then pursued a career in line work where he attended line school at Northwest Line College in Idaho, followed by an apprenticeship through Rocky Mountain Power where he worked as a journeyman lineman throughout Utah and Wyoming.

Craig had a bigger than life personality. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. Craig will always be remembered for the fearless way he lived and the way he loved life everyday. His favorite leisure time activity was spending time with his children, who were the biggest blessings of his life. He was an amazing dad and spent most of the summer in the mountains camping with them. They would end their days with “Mr. Jinx” stories.

Craig is survived by his children; John Collin, Sophia Jeanette, and Charli Ann of Saratoga; his parents, John and Connie; his grandmother, Iva Craig; his nephew Hunter;  numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends he considered family.

He is preceded in death by his beautiful sister, Julie; grandparents, Jane and Merwyn Powell; and Jack Craig.

A memorial service was held on Aug. 15, 2014 in Saratoga.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to his children at Bank of the West in Saratoga.
