Ryan Park has fun, food and auction

Fun is scheduled Saturday at the 19th Annual Ryan Park VFD Fundraiser.

Doors open at 11 a.m. and a barbecue lunch begins at noon. Both live and silent auctions will follow.

The proceeds of the days events will benefit the Ryan Park Volunteer Fire Department and are used to buy new equipment, pay for training and provide for other fire department needs. Homer Beach, of the Ryan Park VFD, said two years ago they bought a used rescue truck and donated it to the county. “This is our take on how we help the county maintain fire protection in the Ryan Park area,” Beach said.

Donna Beach, fundraiser Chairman, noted the fire department responds to both wildland and structure fires as well as performing search and rescue, emergency medical services and first responder services.

A wide variety of items will be auctioned off including: Wyoming football tickets, Denver Broncos tickets, an Old Baldy golf package, a Saratoga Resort and Spa package, float trips, dinners at local restaurants and a host of other activities.

The cost for the meal is $10 for adults and $5 for children. There will be bounce houses, a piñata and more for children. 4

In the past, up to 350 people have attended the event.
