Jam sessions are popular

There were five here for bingo Tuesday. Two-dollar winners were Grace Johnston, Berneil McCord, Pat Faust, and Deanna Miller. Deanna Miller won the $4 blackout.

There were two and a half tables for duplicate bridge on Monday. There was a tie for high winners between Marie; O’Grady and Mary Sjoden and Janet Donelan and John Blue.

I now have the forms for the elderly and disabled tax returns, so stop by and get one or call and I will help you fill them out and get them sent back. You have until Aug. 31 to get the forms in. Qualifications are you have to be at least 65, if you are single you can make up to $17,500 per year. Married couple can make up to $28,500.

We are sorry to report but Pat Corpening went in to the nursing home. She is there until they can figure out what is wrong with her. We all hope her stay there is a short one.

We all hope everyone had a great holiday with family and friends.

We were shorthanded the last two weeks but we made it through. It would be nice to get another sub for the kitchen, but we are having a hard time finding anyone to work. We are a great bunch to work with and the hours a great as well.

There were 19 people here to enjoy the music on Tuesday evening. Our next jam session will be at 6 p.m. July 15. Come see the people have a lot of fun listening as well as the performers having fun entertaining us. You will not be disappointed.
