Residents celebrate Nursing Home Week

Games throughout the week provided fun and laughter. On Sunday afternoon, four residents played Dominoes with Charlotte Gibbons winning. On Monday afternoon, five residents played Yahtzee with Frank Jereb winning. On Tuesday morning, five residents played Dominoes with Pat Rust winning. On Wednesday afternoon, nine residents played Bingo, and Friday afternoon, 11 residents played Bingo. Elaine Burge, Carol Higby, Pat Rust, and Truth Karstoft won Four Corners. Carol Higby and Marion Lansdown won Blackouts. Our Bingo helpers were Lila Worden, Joni Johnson, Gloria Rakness, Elder Christiansen, Elder Ramirez, and Elder Franz. On Saturday afternoon, residents played Blackjack.

During evening every day, residents watched the Turner Classic Movies Channel on television. On Sunday morning, five residents watch the VCR Movie, “Sleepless in Seattle”. On Tuesday afternoon, five residents watched the DVD movie, “Always”. On Saturday morning, residents watched the VCR movie, “Memphis Belle”.

On Sunday afternoon, Reverend Miki Laws of the Encampment Presbyterian Church led at our church service, offering communion. Doris Davis assisted on the keyboard.

For Lunch Out at the Saratoga Senior Center, three residents had beef stroganoff on Monday, and four residents had baked fish on Friday.

On Tuesday morning, Pastor Gene Smith of the Platte Valley Christian Center offered Bible Studyto four residents.

On Wednesday morning, Lynda Healey,Georgia Schroer, Kathy McMorrow, and Janice Kerpan gave Hair Care to seven residents and Nail Care to nine residents.

On Thursday afternoon, residents did an Arts and Crafts project.

We wish to thank the Saratoga Council of Catholic Women for the kind financial donation to activities.
