Saratoga: Water problems from below

Saratoga town employee Chuck McVey uses the backhoe to dig toward the broken water main at Third and Spring Monday afternoon.

As Encampment was digging out from a spring snowstorm, town of Saratoga employees were digging holes in the street to repair a 10 inch water main that had burst on Spring Ave.

The broken part of the main, near Third Street and Spring Avenue is located between St. Ann's Church and the Platte Valley Community Center.

The alleyway between Bridge and Spring Avenues looked more like a waterway, and the storm drains were so backed up that large puddles of water were showing up on Main Avenue and Third Street.
