Libraries host art show, homesteading history

The Carbon County Library System looks to have a month full of events in May.

The Saratoga Branch will be hosting a presentation by Bill Rossiter called “Stories, Songs and Sodbusters”. The presentation will feature homesteaders’ songs of hope, then disappointment as they traveled to the Great American Desert. The presentation will begin at 7 p.m. on May 21, at the Saratoga Library.

Encampment/Riverside’s branch will hold their monthly book club discussion group, where they will discuss “Two O’Clock Eastern Wartime” by John Dunning. The discussion will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on May 15. To reserve your copy, call Dawna Martin at 307-327-5775.

Additionally, the Encampment/Riverside library will display Encampment High School student art pieces from the Wyoming State Art Show. Art pieces will be on display from May 1 to May 15.
