Many Japanese performers
Greatest Japanese Troupe in the world here with the Robinson circus. Beyond all question the greatest troupe of Japanese in the world are with the Yankee Robinson circus. This Japanese troupe was imported into this county last season for the New York Hippodrome, where they appeared for thirty weeks. They were then engaged for the Yankee Robinson circus and made the greatest hit every recorded under a circus tent. This Japanese troupe immediately went back to Japan, left the part of Yokohama on March 27, landed at Seattle April 12, going direct to circus winter quarters. They are in this by permission of his Royal Majesty, the Emperor of Japan.
The above circus will give two performances, afternoon and evening, in Rawlins, Wyo. on the 17th day of May, 1913.

Two million visitors for 1939 predicted
The huge number of inquiries pouring into the State Department of Commerce and Industry lends support to the statement that Wyoming will this year enjoy one of the best tourist seasons in the state’s history.
At a special meeting of the Board, Director George O. Houser informed the governor and other officials that the state should benefit from approximately 16 to 18 millions of dollars of “new money” from tourists, hunters and fishermen during 1939.
“All indications point to a record tourist season,” Houser told the Board. “Last year, the state benefitted from $15,120,279 in ‘new money’ brought in by these outside visitors. This year, we should receive between 16 to 18 millions.”
Houser said the state entertained 1,182,566 automobile tourists in 1938, with indications that “well over two million” would pass through Wyoming during the summer and early autumn this year.
He estimated that well over 400,000 automobiles would carry visitors into the state, compared with 357,000 in 1938.
Houser attributed widespread national advertising and the two world fairs to the expected increase.

Corral Drive-Inn to open Friday
The Corral Drive-Inn will open for the summer season tomorrow at its new location near the municipal swimming pool, according to an announcement made earlier this week by Mrs. Ernest Dahlke. Mr. and Mrs. Dahlke, their two daughters and two sons will operate the eating and refreshment establishment, which they purchased from Harley McCord, previous owner.
The business will feature, along with usual menu and services, a fried chicken special, curb service and will also accept call-in orders, Mrs. Dahlke said. It will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. until later this month when opening hour will be 10 a.m.
The Dahlke family came to Saratoga about two years ago. This is their first year at the Drive-Inn.

EHS senior breaks school pole vaulting record
An Encampment High School senior has been ranked in state by setting a new school record at Laramie April 25 while another Tiger set a meet record at Goshen County Friday.
A record in the pole vault was set by Ryan Finney who cleared 13 feet and finished first in the meet. Brandy James jumped to first place with a distance of 16’1.5” setting a new meet and county record.
“I was pleased with our performance; we had some members missing and will probably be short up until regionals and finals. We are continuing to cut down times and lengthen our distances and should be ready for finals,” said coach Bob Herring.
In team standings the girls squad placed fourth April 25 and seventh at the April 28 meet. The boys team placed third April 25 and fourth April 28.
The Tigers will attend regionals at Baggs May 12-13 and state May 18-20 in Casper.
