Kim (Lands) Ward

Kim Ward, 62, passed away Feb. 14, 2014, of breast cancer at her home at Crooked River Ranch, Ore. Kim lived in Saratoga from 1984 to 2013. A memorial service will take place this summer.

Kim was born Dec. 6, 1951 in Bend, Ore. to Cleo (Smith) and Jimmie W. Lands.

Kim graduated from Redmond High School in Redmond, Ore.

On Oct. 30, 1981, she married Neal Ward.

Kim is survived by her husband, Neal, of Crooked River Ranch; daughters Jammie Newton, of Redmond; Carla Campbell, of Cheyenne, son Kyle, of Phoenix; mother Cleo Smith, of Boardman, Ore .; brothers Jimmie H. Lands, of Boardman; three grandsons, a granddaughter, several nephews and a niece.

Kim loved camping and was an avid quilter. She attended the 2012 Casting for Recovery retreat near Dubois and was learning fly fishing. Memorial donations can be sent to Casting for Recovery, PO Box 1123, Manchester, VT 05254 with a notation “In Memory of Kim Ward”. Kim specifically requested that her friends remember her by placing flowers on their own tables where they can be enjoyed.
