Hunter safety class offered

A hunter education course will be offered in Encampment beginning March 3.

According to Wyoming game and Fish Website, the courses are designed to not only prevent firearm related accidents, but to place an emphasis on the “knowledge about the heritage of hunting.”

Courses consist of six required sections including hunter responsibility and ethics, wildlife conservation and management, firearms and firearm safety, Game and Fish statutes and regulations, game care and wildlife identification, and outdoor safety.

To register for the courses, go to wgfd.wyo.gov.

Classes will be held on Mondays 7 to 9 p.m. at Encampment School Library.

For questions, please contact Mike Moon at 307-329-8030.
