Poker Run draws 261 hands

The Upper Valley Search and Rescue sold 261 poker hands Sunday at the 16th Annual Ben Romios Memorial Poker Run.

A total of $2,610 was brought in from the hands, in addition to other money that was donated toward the event. Six prize money gifts were given to three high winners and three low winners.

Try Knotwell had the highest hand, winning $675 with three "10s". Anthony Rakness had the second highest hand, winning $400, and Menphis Smith-Moon had the third highest hand, winning $270.

Shirley Miller had the first lowest hand, winning $450; Sarah Collins had the second lowest, winning $270; and Jeanette Romios had the third lowest hand, winning $180.

A total of $2,245 was given as prize money, and other money will go toward the Ben Romios Memorial Scholarship Fund.
