Residents enjoy movies, games and ice cream

Residents at Deseret Health and Rehab watched Turner Classic Movies in the evening.

Games throughout the week provided fun and laughter. On Sunday afternoon, four residents played Dominoes with Truth Karstoft winning. On Tuesday morning, five residents played Yahtzee with Charlotte Cross winning. On Wednesday afternoon, 10 residents played Bingo, and on Friday afternoon, 10 residents played Bingo. Carol Higby won Four Corners. Carol Higby won Blackouts. Our Bingo helpers were Joy Hamilton, Lila Worden, Dawna Erickson, and Gloria Rakness. On Saturday afternoon, residents played Blackjack.

Every day, residents listened to music in the dining room before breakfast, and also on Wednesday morning before breakfast Tom Mansfield read from the Saratoga Sun, and on Thursday morning from the Rawlins Daily Times.

On Sunday afternoon, Pastor Stinson of the Saratoga Missionary Alliance Church led our church service. Joe Gaspari was the hymn leader, and Doris Davis assisted with traditional religious music on the keyboard.

On Tuesday, students in the Certified Nursing Class gave three ladies beautiful hairdos and did nails for four residents.

On Tuesday morning, Reverend Helen Young of the Saratoga Presbyterian Church offered Bible Study to seven residents.

On Thursday afternoon, four residents did a coloring project in Arts and Crafts.

On Friday, three residents went for Lunch Out at the Saratoga Senior Center, having baked fish.

On Saturday afternoon, residents enjoyed ice cream sandwiches.

We wish to thank the family of Ruth Doherty for the donation of picture puzzles and the family of Beverly Higgins for the donation of VCR movies. Also, we wish to thank the family of Bill Bartlett for the financial donation to activities.
