Carbon Power & Light linemen, Lynn Hinz, Tom Westring, Jeff McArthur, Nick Cary and Kelby Lang work on replacing a pole Dec. 23 at the corner of First and Main Streets. A post office patron stopped to get his mail and left his dogs in the vehicle. Chief of Police Tom Knickerbocker said it appears the dogs knocked the vehicle out of park and the vehicle rolled back into the light pole. The lineman spent the day replacing the pole. Fortunately, the only CP&L member to lose power was the Saratoga Resort & Spa's sign and the town's two lights along First Street, according to Joe Parrie, CP&L's director of member's services.
