Citizen appreciates retiring nurse

Editor,

I have a big thank you to give to one of our finest in the valley. Since she is retiring I wanted do something a little different. Instead of recognizing someone after they passed away and that are not here to know they were recognized for the very special job they did.

I would like to take this opportunity and tell Sue Bartlett and job well done.

Thank you for keeping our valley well and giving the children their immunizations. For keeping up-to-date with new information. Thank you for researching answers to questions you didn’t have answers for.

Thank you for all your traveling around our county. Thank you for the times you had to stay overnight, away from home because of weather conditions. Thank you for being very professional along with your caring attitude.

I met Sue 10 years ago. I stopped by her office, not knowing what I was in for. I was greeted by a very real down-to-earth woman. She asked what can I do for you. I top dyer who I was and I needed to get updated with shots and information. She also filled a need I had. It was a very low time in my life. I was in the middle of a storm with a divorce going on between my husband and myself.

Sue was like a lighthouse in the storm. She helped me enroll in the programs that I qualified for. She would come to see me and check my blood pressure, pulse and oxygen level. I have gone through many back surgeries and have lost most of my eyesight.

I lost my two dear friends, Glynda and Buck. aging Sue coming to my door and checking in on me and then report my conditions to Dr. Bartholomew gave me peace of mind.

Thank you Sue for introducing me to Tony. I could that she will do a fine job. You did a very good job choosing your replacement.

Sue, I have all the faith and warm wishes that this new chapter of your life will be as rewarding as the dedicated and professional life you have had. Please know that you are loved and will be missed.

Always remember your words to me “If you can’t laugh at life, you’re in trouble.”

All My love,

Graham Steel
