Bridge and poppies

There were not enough people to play Bingo this week.

There were three tables for Duplicate Bridge on Monday. High winners were Barb Wise and Gertrude Herold.

It is nice to have Jane back with us. However, it has been fun to have Ed and Sandy here to help us. Leo Yocum was here to drive the bus one day and June went with him to run the meals in. So we did just fine after all.

Dick Ament and Willis Greenwood were here on Friday with poppies for Veterans Day. It is always nice to have them here. Dick had been under the weather, but is upright and seems to be doing pretty well. Keep up the improvement Dick.

We were all very sad to see in the paper our friend Richard Gerhardt had passed away. I kept in touch with him after he left here and went back east. He had not been feeling well as of late. We will all remember him fondly.

Jane is planning to be back with us next week and we are all looking forward to her return.

We will be closed for two days at Thanksgiving so be thinking about whether you will be needing extra meals for the long weekend.
