Russell Eugene Sartin, 67 of Newberg, Ore., went to Heaven on Oct. 24, 2013.
Russ was born in Shannon County, Mo., on July 29, 1946.
He graduated from Encampment High School in 1964 and soon after enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served in Vietnam.
Russ married Amy Sandra Case in 1970. They lived in Encampment and Saratoga until the mid 1980s.
He married Susan Ann Herring (formerly of Saratoga) in 1990. They made their home in Newberg, Ore., until she passed away in 2008.
Russ is survived by his children Carole Jean (Ron) Burnell, of Fort Worth, Texas; Toni Anna Ramsey, of Hermosa, S. D., Russell Sartin Jr. (Rusty), of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tami (Randy) Hart, of Polson, Mont.
He is also survived by his stepchildren, Kelly (Jason) Lutz, of Medford, Ore., Cory Warne, and Mike and Tim Douglas of Portland, Ore., and 14 grandchildren.
Russ is preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Hazel Sartin, his wife, Susan Ann (Herring) Sartin and one daughter, Laura Grant.
The family celebrated the wonderful life Russ lived on Oct. 27, 2013 in Attrell’s Newberg Funeral Chapel, a Golden Rule Funeral Home.
