Halloween pizza party Saturday

There were five people here for Bingo Tuesday. Two-dollar winners were Berneil McCord, Winnie Allen and Grace Johnston.

Sue Howe won the $4 blackout round; thank you Winnie Allen for watching my card.

There were three tables for Duplicate Bridge on Monday. High winners were Gertrude Herold and Mary Alice Sjoden. Second high went to Mariel O’Grady and Marilyn Walck.

They said they had a pretty good turnout for the flu shots here on Wednesday. I always enjoy when they have these things up here cause you get to visit with people you very seldom see.

We did have the county board meeting here also on Wednesday. There were not many of them here but we did enjoy visiting with the ones that were here.

We will be having a breakfast at 8 a.m., Oct. 24. Then we will have lunch at noon as usual. If you would like to join us for breakfast, please call and get your name on the list. We are doing this to get the count up.

We would like to invite every senior to come and join us for lunch. If we know you are coming we can have you set up and ready for you to pick up your meal and start eating. We only charge $3 per meal, so please come join us.

We had our October birthday dinner Friday. Those having birthdays this month are Winnie Allen, Leo Yocum, Dick Wiant, Alice Cornell, Jim Elliott, Millie Anderson, Ray Vyvey, Delman Stanley, Jean Shepherd, Sheila Johnson, Cherri Moore, Norm Hallis, Pat Corpening, Curtis Campbell, and Norm Heater. Leo Yocum won the birthday tree. Teense Willford was here to entertain us this month and we all enjoyed him. He was sick last month, but was a bit better Friday. We really appreciate him coming to entertain, even though he wasn’t feeling 100 percent.

We will be having music here again at 6:30 p.m., on Nov. 5. So be sure to mark your calendar and come join us.

You will not be disappointed.

We will be having a Halloween Pizza party at noon on Oct. 26. Mark your calendar and come join us. It will be a lot of fun. Be sure and call ahead if you are not a regular at 326-5564.

We want to send our sincere sympathy to the family of Evelyn Hammer, who passed away. We always enjoyed it when she would come on Mondays to play Bridge. She will be missed by us all.

We also want to send our sincere sympathy to the Mark Jones family. Casey Jones’ wife was killed in an auto accident on Wednesday.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this hard time.
