Big plans for October

Here comes my favorite months of the year, we have a lot going on this month.

Always much thanks to our volunteers, Bill and Madeline Telfer, Bob and Lois Thompson, Vonda Wieburg, Nancy Lynch and Laura Rettelie. You all allow this facility to run with a special touch.

Blood pressure checks are every other Thursday, Oct. 10 and 24.

This month’s birthday/anniversary is a long list. Birthdays in October include Ella Geisick, Sheila Johnson, Karen Bower, Vangie Licero, Jim Buckendorf, Ed Freisburg, Lois Thompson, Nancy Flohr, Phil Fleming, Toni Rogers, Jan Buford, Sue Dauner, Clara Mae Knoel, Kay Orton and Bill Wadsworth. Celebrating anniversaries this month are Dutch and Sandy Miller and George and Dian Bauer.

The menu for the birthday/anniversary celebration, which is Oct. 18, is chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables, wheat roll, Emerald pears and a birthday/anniversary cake.

Debbie Easterling, Janet Zahn and JR Henslee will provide the entertainment. Call and reserve your seat and enjoy good food and run. Our theme for this month is “Spooky Friday Night”.

The annual Flea Market, Chili Feed and Pie Sale is Oct.26 at the Sagebrush Senior Center. To reserve a table call the Senior Center at 307-327-5937 or Lila Walbye at 307-327-5762. There is no charge for the table, but space is limited, so make your reservations soon.

Thoughts and prayers go out to our Senior Center friends and family who are under the weather.

That is the lowdown for October. Have a great week.
