Panthers fight competition at John Martin Invite

Cruz Escobedo competes in the Rawlins Invite earlier this month. Escobedo improved her time by three minutes, 69 seconds between the Rawlins Invite two weeks ago and the John Martin Invite Saturday. She is one of two girls competing in high school cross country.

Up against a large number of competitors, the Saratoga Cross-Country Panthers pushed hard to improve their times at Friday’s John Martin Invitational in Colorado.

The larger running meet took place in Fort Collins, Colo. The team will be running in front of local friends and family at their home meet this Friday. For the team’s high school boys, Cameron Collamer scored the highest with a time of 19:36, which earned him a respectable 51st place out of 184 runners.
