Remains found in Snowy Range


A human skull and bones were found near Silver Lake in the Snowy Range this weekend.

A hunter reported the find. Carbon County Sheriff Deputies and search and rescue personnel searched the area and collected and marked anything that looked human, Carbon County Sheriff Jerry Colson said.

The search turned up a skull, lower jaw and some bones, Colson said. “They searched the area thoroughly.”
