Forest Service warns of muddy conditions

According to the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests and Thunder Basin National Grassland (MBRTB), a week’s worth of cool, rainy weather has produced wet and muddy conditions to watch out for among MBRTB land areas.

Visitors should be aware of how those conditions affect their travel as they venture out and make weekend plans. Moisture levels vary widely across the MBRTB, with some areas seeing flash flooding warnings and corresponding recreation area closures.
