A service of healing

A “Service of Healing” will take place at 5 pm. Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church.

One piece of the service will recall the death last fall of the former First Presbyterian Church pastor, Revel Matheke.

However, the overall service is designed to bless those who are struggling with any kind of problem, such as, illness that creates chaos, family issues resulting in broken relationships, grief from any loss, empty nest, now that school has begun, and even the realization that life has changed in a way that requires adjustment.

The purpose of the service is to help people acknowledge their struggles, realize that others also face a need for healing, and, most importantly, to learn that we are not alone in our challenges.

“God is with us always,” a press release from the Presbyterian Church said.

The community is welcomed to join as we gather together to share this special time.
