Make up meal Saturday

There were six people here for bingo this week. Two-dollar winners were Winnie Allen, Berneil McCord and Chris Willis. Berneil and Winnie shared a $2 round. Winnie won the $4 blackout round.

There were two-and-a-half tables for Duplicate Bridge this week. High winners were John Blue and Pat Bailey. Second high went to Janet Donelan and Sandy Cameron.

Don’t forget we will be having the music jamboree up here every other Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The next time will be Sept. 10, so mark your calendar.

We only had four people stay for Right, Left, and Center this week. There seems to be so much going on right now, but we will keep playing every Wednesday.

We were happy to help with the emergency drill over at the nursing home. They brought around 20 residents over to get them out of harm’s way. It went very well, I think. Tom Mansfield made sure they were entertained the whole time they were here. It was very interesting how everyone did what they needed to do. And the Bridge group that was here went right along with their games. Thank you to them for putting up with all the commotion.

We have to do a make up meal for being closed Monday, so we will be having a potato bar this Saturday. Please call in advance so I have enough stuff fixed for everyone. If people want to stay and play cards they can do that as well.
