Plenty of seats for everyone

There were five here to play bingo Tuesday. Two-dollar winners were Pat Faust and Dorothy Miller. Madaline Forbes and Winnie Allen shared the blackout round.

There were three tables for Duplicate Bridge this week. High winners were Sheila Johnson and Marianne Blue. Second high went to Pat Bailey and John Blue.

We were pleased to have Hons Nikolaes and Dorothy Miller here to entertain us last week. He plays the accordion and Dorothy plays the washboard. It was so much fun to listen to them.

It has been brought to my attention people are saying they will not come because they are afraid of sitting in someone’s seat. There are not assigned seats up here. I have tried to stress that to everyone I come in contact with. So please give us a chance by coming up and joining us. We have lost so many lately that I worry about this program. So please come up and support us.

We will be having our BBQ up here on Saturday, July 27. Please mark your calendar and come join us. We will have all the picnic stuff, and after lunch we will have some of the musicians that play for the music jamboree here to entertain us. If you have not come up and heard them before you are in for a big treat. Lunch is at noon as usual. Please call ahead and get your name on the list so we have plenty cooked.

Also we will be having the music jamboree here on Tuesday July 30 at 6:30 p.m. Please come and join us.

I do have the forms for the Elderly and disabled tax program. The qualifications for this are: you must be at least 65 years old, or turned 18 in 2012 and are totally disabled; lived in the state of Wyoming for the year 2012; and had income of $17,500 or less for a single person, or $28,500 or less for a married couple. If you have these qualifications, please stop in and get a form or call ahead and I will be happy to help you fill them out.

I have several seniors that can not go live at there homes unless they have someone to come and stay with them. If you would be interested in doing that please call the center and I will get you in touch with them.

We are going to start a new game today here at the center. It is called right, left & center. Dorothy Miller said they play it in Arizona. Please come and check it out. We will be playing it for the next few weeks on Wednesday after lunch. It really sounds like a lot of fun. You start out with 75 cents, so bring your quarters.

It was birthday week this week. Those having birthdays this month are John Collamer, Betty Eaton, Janet Lasco, Dick Ament, Vivien Campbell, Doris Ledbetter, Verlin Miller, Alberta Welton and Rosemary Craighead. Betty Eaton won the birthday tree. Teense Willford was here to entertain us for the afternoon. We all enjoyed him very much.
