Valley residents have the chance show off their art and design skills through the Saratoga/Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce Logo Contest this month.
The object of this contest is to design an original logo for the Saratoga/Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce that embodies the diverse services provided by members. It should speak to a “western” way of life and reflect the tagline, “The Good Times Valley: Four Seasons of Fun.” The chosen logo will be used online, in print, on merchandise and on promotional materials.
Flexibility is a key requirement, including the need to resize easily and look good in black and white as well as color. The final version of the logo will need to be suitable for high quality printing.
Entrants should take care to ensure that their entries are not in any way similar to existing logos or other copyrighting images. The logo must include “Saratoga Platte/Valley Chamber of Commerce,” and a variant logo must be provided with the text, “The Good Times Valley: Four Seasons of Fun,” in addition to the Chamber name.
Initial entries must be submitted by email to [email protected]. The entries must be submitted as a scalable vector graphic in EPS format, and also as a JPG. If this formatting is an issue, please include that information in the application email.
The email must include the name, age, postal address, phone number and email address of the entrant.
No more than three entries may be submitted by any one contestant.
The deadline for entries is 12 p.m. July 15.
We will attempt to acknowledge all entries within one week of receipt; however, we cannot be responsible for entries or responses lost in email.
Individuals sitting on the Logo Evaluation Committee may not enter the contest.
There is no fee to enter the contest.
A panel of members of the Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce and persons from the community will evaluate the logos and choose a winner by Aug. 1. The winning entrant will be alerted by email and phone.
The winning logo will be featured on all SPVCC correspondence, website, and promotional items. The winning entreat shall be featured on the SPVCC website, and will receive one year of complimentary Associate Membership to the Chamber of Commerce. In addition, the winner shall receive a $250 Gift Certificate, good at Chamber Member businesses.
