Firefighters flipping flapjacks on Fourth

Keeping in tradition with the town’s Independence Day festivities, the Saratoga Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring its annual free pancake breakfast on Fourth of July morning.

The breakfast takes place at Odd Fellows Hall, 121 South River in Saratoga, located across the from the town firehouse. It runs from 7 to 10:30 a.m. on July 4.

Fire Department Treasurer Brad Cary said the breakfast is meant to show thanks to the community, and has become a regular town tradition at each Fourth of July gathering in Saratoga.

“This breakfast is a public appreciation for all the donations we get and part of the Fourth of July Celebration,” he said. “Donations help cover the breakfast, and everyone is invited.”

Cary said the breakfast has had a big draw with not only locals, but also those who visit Saratoga for the Fourth of July festivities.

“We have gotten a lot of families and out-of-towners who have come in the past,” he said.

The pancake breakfast is free and open to all who wish to attend. For more information call Brad Cary at 307-329-8002.
