Encampment discusses opera house repairs

At the Encampment Town Council meeting on the evening of June 13, council members spoke about fixing a leak and placing a fan in the Grand Encampment Opera House, in addition to handrail repairs for outside of the building and fixing the venting system underneath it. Director of Public Works Jeff Goolsby and the council also discussed purchasing supplies needed to repair the inside, outside and underpart of the opera house building.

The council also planned to write a “thank you” letter to Encampment youth who are part of the Wyoming Congressional Youth organization. The youth helped pull weeds out of the gravel on the Sixth Street side of the opera house.

After a successful Outdoor Movie Night June 8, council member Mary Martin mentioned that 9 p.m. on July 13 was the time and date for the next Outdoor Movie Night at the Encampment Museum.
