Reviewing herd units: Meetings discuss population issues for pronghorn/elk/moose

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is holding a series of public meetings to discuss the review of herd unit population objectives for pronghorn, elk and moose in the Saratoga, Laramie and Cheyenne areas.

Lee Knox, WGFD wildlife biologist in Laramie, said proposals include the following herd units:

Cooper Lake Pronghorn (Hunt Area 43)

Centennial Pronghorn (Hunt Areas 45, 44, 37)

Snowy Range Elk (Hunt Areas 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 110, 114, 125)

Snowy Range Moose (Hunt Areas 38, 41)

The meetings for Carbon County residents are at 6 p.m., May 20 at Saratoga Town Hall, and 6 p.m., May 21 at the Medicine Bow Community Center.
