PV Kiwanis to host regional Stars

Platte Valley Kiwanis is ready to host its second regional Stars of Tomorrow event at 3 p.m., April 13 in Saratoga.

Everyone is welcome to attend the event free of charge, which will take place at the Platte Valley Community Center.

The event provides an opportunity for top high school performers from southeast Wyoming communities to showcase their performing abilities, according to the Kiwanis.

Attendees can expect to see a vast variety of acts including vocal and instrumental performances, dancing, dramatic presentations and other performing arts.

A 2008 winner of the regional Stars of Tomorrow, Garry Wood, is scheduled to put on a special performance with his duo “The Bird and the Bear”.

Wood grew up in Saratoga and has participated in Stars of Tomorrow competitions at the local and district levels. He is now persuing a music career.

Winners in the talent show will be eligible to participate in the Rocky Mountain District Kiwanis Stars of Tomorrow, April 28, in Loveland, Colo.
