Chamber hosts luncheon, presentation for businesses

A luncheon for business leaders may be hitting Saratoga once a month with a new impact.

The Saratoga/Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a Leaders Luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 at the Platte Valley Community Center in the White Room.

The luncheon is designed to be a round table for business owners, said Stacy Crimmins, executive director of the Saratoga/Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce.

For $15, you can get a lunch catered by J.W. Hugus Co., a chance to discuss business with other business operators in the Platte Valley and hear a 10-minute presentation on social media and how it can benefit your business, Crimmins said.

“This is a really good way to broaden your horizon,” she said.

The chamber hosted quarterly luncheons last year, Crimmins said. She hopes to have one every month this year with more presentations.

“We wanted to get people together in a situation where they might share information they might not usually share with those people,” Crimmins said.

The March 13 luncheon will feature a “10x10” presentation by Addie Fletcher, Crimmins said.

Fletcher will take 10 minutes to present 10 topics about social marketing and why it is important.
