The Saratoga Sun -

Birthday dinner draws 37

We had a very good time at our birthday and anniversary dinner Friday night. Meals were served to 37 people.

Mr. and Mrs. Riddick won the lunch tickets. Bingo was the entertainment for the night, Bill Wadsworth, Mr. and Mrs. Telfer, Betty Merrill, Mr. and Mrs. Wells, Mr. and Mrs. Ballard and Mr. and Mrs. Miller played for cash prizes

Patty, Connie, Laura and Arleigh kept the coffee pot going last week. They always find lots of things to chuckle and chatter about.

Jo Bonnett has been under the weather and has been missed here at the center; we sure hope she’s better soon. Domino Players included Madeline and Bill Telfer, Jack and Ginny Riddick, Bob Thompson, Betty Merrill and Dick Blake.

The puzzle piecers are making a dent in the 1,000 piece puzzle. It is a mosaic of our country’s monuments, parks and other patriotic symbols. This one surely is a challenge.

There were quite a few quilters here Thursday afternoon making great progress on the 2013 raffle quilt. Adding the stitches were Nancy Lynch, Karen Casson, Lila Walbye, Kay Fleming, Sandy Miller and Josephine Roberson.

I got a sneak peak at the March menu and I see there is another Saturday (the 9th) where it will be breakfast for lunch. Make your plans now. Also, stop in and pick up a copy of the menu and make plans for many of the other great meals being served.

Take care and I’ll see you next week.
