Clyde Robert Wiant

Clyde Robert Wiant passed away Nov. 23, 2012, in Oceanside, Calif. He was born Feb. 4, 1927, to Elizabeth (Nellie) Fitzgerald and Ira Goff Wiant.

Wiant graduated from high school in Saratoga and served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1956. He married Beatata (Bea) Beckenbaugh in Encampment. They later moved to Oceanside where they had a small gift shop for a time. Clyde worked for several dairies and the Delmar Fairgrounds before he retired.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bea, his parents, brother, Ira J. Wiant and sister, Mary Frances Jenkins.

Clyde is survived by special stepdaughter and husband, Pat and Lou Dinger, of Oceanside, two other stepdaughters and two stepsons. He is also survived by cousins John Wiant, of Nevada, Shirley Hansen, of California, Richard Wiant, Charles Paul Wiant, Betty Dean, Frances Ann Kirby, Jim Wiant, Peggy Baluska and Patty Wiant, all of Wyoming.

Clyde will be interred at Riverside National Cemetery beside his wife, Bea.
