Rita Nadine Harrington, known as Nadine by family and friends, passed away Saturday morning at Kindred Hospital of Denver.
Nadine was preceded in death by her father Dale Soles and grandson Justin Daniel Harrington.
Saratoga native and long-time resident Chester ‘Chet’ Davidson passed away on Dec.10, 2012, in Gillette.
Chet was born on June 30, 1921, in Saratoga to F. Harry Davidson and Alice Kennaday Davidson, homesteaders above Cedar Creek. He joined sisters Amonda, Vita, and Louiza ‘Billye’; and later Eleanora ‘Sis’, Charles ‘Dan’, and Rae were added. The family moved to the Davidson Ranch south of Saratoga in 1928.
James “Jim” R. Caswell, 80, of Laramie, formerly of Rawlins, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at Laramie Care Center.
He was born Jan. 24, 1932 in Estes Park, Colo., to Birdsey and Beatrice (Green) Caswell.
He was raised in Colorado and moved to Saratoga during his high school years.
He married Georgie Currey on July 11, 1951 in Encampment.
Jim served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged.
Dick Neuman passed away quietly at his residence in Saratoga on Dec. 11, 2012 after his long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 60 years young. Dick was born in Rawlins on July 17, 1952 to H.T. and Evelyn Neuman.
He attended schools in Rawlins and later attended Casper College then the University of Wyoming. After this he went to work for his father at Neuman Transit Co., in Rawlins, along with his four brothers.
Robert (Bob) Everett Hobart, born Feb. 23, 1924 died Nov. 27, 2012. Hobart was the husband of Judith Ellen Masnari.
A graduate of Colorado School of Mines, Geology, Hobart was also a retired Lt. Col., USMC Reserve. He worked as a geologist for Chevron Oil Company in Denver, Colo., and retired in 1985.
Carbon County native and longtime rancher, Garland Bartlett (Sr.) passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at Valley View Care and Rehab Center in Saratoga at the age of 93.
Garland was born on Aug. 19, 1919, in Rawlins to Garland P. Bartlett and Pearl Ellen Frisby. He married Elsie B. Williams, of Encampment, on May 29, 1942, in Encampment. They subsequently had 5 children, 4 of whom are still living.
Carbon County native and long-time businesswoman Carole Jean Kirk, 79, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at the McKee Hospice Center in Loveland, Colo., following a year-long battle with cancer.
