Planning commission votes to meet off-camera

At last Tuesday’s Planning Commission meeting, Saratoga resident David Worthington was asked not to film the meeting.
Worthington said he has been filming airport board and town council meetings for over a year, when he attends the meetings.
The Commission voted against allowing him to film the meeting, Worthington said.

Frances Bybee

Dr. Frances Juanita Bybee went home to be with her Lord on Dec.19, 2012 in Cheyenne.
Frances was born in Zwolle, Louisiana on July 5, 1930 to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ebarb.
Frances lead an extraordinary life of achievement and educational excellence. She was a career educator and a true leader in her field. She graduated high school at the age of 16, graduated college at the age of 19.

Dahkle/Lascano engaged

Ashley Dahlke of Saratoga, and Luis Lascano, of Rawlins, announce their engagement.
They plan to marry on June 22, 2013.

Borg/Crosby wed

Sophia Ashley Borg and Clarence Jason Crosby were united in marriage on Nov. 17, 2012, at Blackwater Plantation, Quitman, Ga. The Reverend Bernard Sonny Mason officiated.

Planning commission goes on zone offense

After an executive session to discuss personnel, the Saratoga Planning Commission gained ground on a common understanding of Home Occupations as they are defined in Chapter 18.06 of the Saratoga Municipal Code.
Zoning officer Chuck Bartlett requested the board clarify special use permits as they relate to home occupations as a result of what he said were conflicting interpretations of the home occupation definitions.

SRS Poker run set to unfold

The Saratoga Resort and Spa is set to put on their fourth annual snowmobile poker run.
The entry for the poker run this year is $25 and a contestant can pick up additional punch cards for $15 each.
