Living On Purpose: Taking a moment to think out loud

Life is filled with ups and downs, joy and good times mixed in with seasons of discouragement and sadness. I do not believe in a perfect life here on earth and this includes any human living above the reproach of sin and of course, all of us having everything perfect within our hopes and dreams of happiness. Even the individuals who have billions of dollars in the bank have times of frustration and disappointment.

Another look at the Prodigal Son

I met him 35 years ago.  His name is not important, but you might recognize him, or someone like him, or maybe he is you.  He was raised, the oldest son, in a middle -class family.  His father and mother were both high school teachers. The family attended church regularly, and as a youth and as an adult he participated in leadership roles in his church.  One might describe him as the ‘hero’ in his family.

All’s well for next ‘Gather at the Table’

After a month’s delay, all’s well with both the head cook and chief bottle washer as well as other volunteers as they prepare to “Gather at the Table” for a springtime barbeque Monday evening, April 7th, from 5:00 to 6:30 in the Saratoga Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall at the corner of Third & Bridge.
