The Master plan will now be presented to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Once the FAA approves the plan, TO Engineers will continue on to implementation. Beckett Robinson, 18, of Rawlins was arrested on charges of reckless endangering with a firearm, breach of peace, and aggravated assault and battery after allegedly assaulting Chris Henneck, 18, of Saratoga. The incident took place December 10 at approximately 7:30 pm. near the Platte Valley Community Center. Robinson used a gun to beat Henneck following an argument. Following an outcry from corral owners in Rawlins’ Glenn Addition, it appears some changes will be coming to water rates for the agricultural section of the city. On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at approximately 2130 hours, a Rawlins Police Sergeant observed a conversion van which was being operated in the industrial area located on the east end of Rawlins. The Hanna Miner Memorial Recreation Center was built in 1984 by the Carbon County Coal Company. It was state of the art at the time with racquetball courts, basketball courts, weight room and a pool that was just shy of being an Olympic size pool. Since it was built in 1903, the building on the corner of First and West Bridge Street has housed a variety of businesses. The land was purchased initially to build a large hall for the Fraternal Order of Eagles. For unknown reasons that construction never began and one year later the land was sold to A.
