    The Carbon County Visitors Council (CCVC) did not meet in November but did have a meeting in on October 13. All board members were present with the exception of Casey Shinkle, the Carbon County CCVC representative.   • Governor welcomes injunction

    A preliminary injunction issued by the United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri was welcomed by Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon on Monday afternoon. According to a press release from Gordon’s office, the injunction halts implementation and enforcement of a rule from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) which would impose a vaccine mandate on healthcare workers.     Tammy Jean (Vyvey) Klingler passed away peacefully on November 13, 2021 in Ocala, Florida. Tammy was born and preceded in death to Rene and Betty Vyvey on August 2, 1958.     James B. "Jim" Wells, 71, of Encampment, Wyoming, died Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at his home. He was born April 21, 1950, in Lamar, Colorado to Fred and Mildred (McKinnis) Wells. He graduated from Boise City High School and played a year of football for the University of Wyoming. He owned and operated Wells Saddle Shop in Laramie from 1979-1985.     Jerry Joseph Palen, 78, passed away on November 25, 2021 in Rawlins, Wyoming. Jerry was born on July 9, 1943 in Paris, Tennessee to Joseph and Ruth Palen. Joseph was a meat inspector for the US Army during WWII and, after the war, he moved his family to the Wyoming Hereford Ranch in Cheyenne where he worked as the ranch veterinarian.
