    The weather was perfect for the Sierra Winter Carnival Friday and Saturday – a balmy 34 degrees most of Saturday. The only problem – no snow. Traditionally, if there is no snow in Encampment, the town gets snow from the Sierra Madres – but that didn't happen this year and the popular sled races on 8th and Rankin were cancelled. The cancellation did not deter one family who came from Longmont, Colo. they found snow and took their children sledding before heading to the Veterans of Foreign Wars...

    Elizabeth Hope Daniels (Liz), 36, daughter of Les and Mary Daniels passed away Jan. 19, 2015 at the Wyoming Medical Center. Liz was born Oct. 5, 1978 and graduated from Saratoga High School in 1997. She loved doing crafts, gardening, camping and shooting sports.     Saratoga Chief of Police, Tom Knickerbocker, said his department has received phones calls off and on about the IRS calling residents in Saratoga. It has been happening since Christmas, Knickerbocker said. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Crime Complaint Center has received reports of a telephone scam, according to a document from the FBI provided by Knickerbocker.
