1SG Martin George "Marty" Clever Jr. (Ret.) passed away October 29, 2016 in Aurora, Colorado. He was born on June 14, 1936 in Hemet, Calif. He grew up in Southern Calif. Marty joined the U.S. Army in 1953 at Age 17 and was drafted into Company A, 350th Infantry Regiment. He was an Army Ranger and served in Austria, IndoChina and Vietnam. Born in Grants Pass, Oregon and having lived in Klamath Falls, the first major shock to his system he dealt with was traveling to Orlando, Florida for boot camp.
