A fatal crash in Rawlins on September 11 claimed the life of one person, according to a press release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol. The crash occurred early Friday morning around 3rd Street and North Higley Boulevard. The driver of 20020 Chevrolet 3500 had stopped alongside the road to check on cargo in the back of his vehicle. The Saratoga Panthers hosted the Moorcroft Wolves at 2 p.m. this Saturday in a conference game. In the 1st quarter, the Panthers were the first to score. The Saratoga Lady Panthers snagged their first conference win last week as they hosted two games in the Panther Den. On Thursday, Saratoga welcomed the Rock River Lady Longhorns (2-4) for a homecourt victory. Friday, they hosted their conference and Valley rivals, the Encampment Lady Tigers (2-3, 0-2), and dispatched them in three sets. The long distance runners of Saratoga traveled out of state on Thursday as they competed in the Manila Invitational in Manila, Utah. While there, both the varsity boys and varsity girls saw three student athletes place in the top 10 while competing in a 3.1 mile race. Governor Mark Gordon, pursuant to a directive from the White House reflecting the U.S. Flag Code, has ordered both the U.S. and State of Wyoming flags be flown at half-staff statewide immediately on Friday, September 18, 2020, for the death of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The flags will remain at half-staff until the day of internment.
