    Dennis Jaeger (Jay-GUR), a veteran of both the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Army, is the new Forest Supervisor for the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests and Thunder Basin National Grassland (MBRTB). Jaeger was selected for the post earlier this summer by Rocky Mountain Regional Forester Dan Jirón and his first day on the job was Aug. 11.     The annual Pieces of History Quilt Show brought in 103 visitors over the two-day event to see quilts ranging from 1895 to the present. Visitors were able to vote on their favorite quilt in two categories, pre – 1965 and post – 1965. Dani Ellis’s submission won the pre-1965 People’s Choice. Ellis was thrilled with the win as the quilt was made by her husband’s grandmother and is one of his favorite quilts. The post -1965 quilt People’s Choice Award went to Nancy Lynch.     The Encampment/Riverside Lions Club will once again host the Copper Days Festival. Now in its 20th year, the festival will feature many family friendly activities throughout the weekend. At 11 am, on Sept. 6 and 7, attendants can watch antique tractors pull heavy, weighted trailers to compete for the title of strongest tractor.
