The Wyoming Rancher Family Camp, which was started by a handful of Wyoming ranchers and their families, will be entering it’s 73rd year. This year, the event will host speaker Brandon Buller, a pastor born in Nebraska and raised in Wyoming. After graduating high school in 1999, Buller attended Frontier School of the Bible in LaGrange, Wyo. and is now the pastor at Glendo Community Church where he has served for the last four years. The Lincoln Highway enters the state from the east on U.S. 30 at Pine Bluffs and, established in 1913, was America's first coast-to-coast highway. On Sunday, June 10, 2018 at approximately 8:30 p.m. the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Cole Nuhring, stating his friend later—to be identified as Justin Siler (19)— had fallen off a boulder at the South French Creek overlook. During the weekend of June 16, several search and rescue teams in the area were called out to locate a missing hiker according to a press release from the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office. At approximately 11:45 p.m., authorities were notified that Saratoga resident Emma Dierks had not returned from a hike earlier that day. The Saratoga Town Council appointed Danny Burau to replace Kim Hytrek for their representative to the Carbon County Visitors Council (CCVC) on June 19. Hytrek had reached her term limit of six years.
