Bailey Shannon Michelle Williams passed away at her home in Yoder, Wyoming on June 14 surrounded by her family and loved ones. Bailey was a strong, brave and sassy young woman who was awesome at life. She was close to her family but had an especially close bond with her older brother Nick, who was her best friend. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will hold a hunter education class in Saratoga the last week of June. The class will meet on the following days: Tuesday, June 26 from 1-5 p.m., Thursday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Friday, June 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The class will meet at the Saratoga Town Hall, 110 E. At noon on June 9 at Carbon Cemetery, Victor Gabriel Anderson's life was celebrated by over 150 people. Victor Anderson was born on Dec 1, 1930 and passed away at his home in Coyote Canyon on March 3. There were several generations at the celebration of his life. Cool weather and consistent rains aided fire crews over the weekend in containing the Badger Creek Fire. While the fire had been doubling it’s size on a daily basis throughout the week, it held steady at 20,000 acres during the cloudy and rainy weekend. As of 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, the Badger Creek Fire is 88 percent contained. Road WYO 10 was reopened during the weekend and WYO 230 was opened as of Tuesday morning.
