    Mae Elizabeth Harris died April 8, 2013 at the Deseret Health and Rehab Center in Saratoga at the age of 95. She was born January 24, 1918 in Coltman, Idaho and grew up in the Snake River Valley of Southeastern Idaho, where she attended Ricks College in Rexburg. She married Don Cole Harris on Oct. 31, 1939 in Pocatello, Idaho, and the marriage ended in divorce after 23 years.     Spring weather is melting the ice from the Wyoming waters and boaters are anxious to get their boats out in the water. The Wyoming Game and Fish boaters need to register the boats for the year. Watercraft registration can be renewed online, at Game and Fish regional offices, at Game and Fish headquarters in Cheyenne.     Editor: I have a question for the American public that opposes any horse slaughter in the United States. Do you know that you already own approximately 50,000 head of horses in pastures and pens, with a cost of several million dollars per month to feed and care for them? Also, 15 to 20,000 more are out on the ranges in the western states and need to be gathered up and taken care of.   • Town of Saratoga rolls with Wheels for Wishes

    If all goes according to plan, Saratoga residents could be able to donate unwanted cars to help a wish come true. The town of Saratoga is in the midst of coordinating with Wheels for Wishes, an organization that collects cars, trucks, motorcycles, SUVs and RVs for the Make a Wish Foundation. The proceeds from donating an unwanted vehicle will go to help a Wyoming child with a life-threatening disease, according to the website.     an effort to help the Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD), a large number of volunteers gathered in Saratoga April 6 to retrieve abandoned mule deer radio-collars across the Platte Valley.
