Freshman runner McKenzie Powell was Encampment’s first-place earner at Friday’s Wheatland Invite. With a time of 1:03.90, Powell received first place in the 400 meter dash, and became pre-qualified for the state meet. The meet at Wheatland High School was Encampment’s first for the 2014 track and field season.
