William "Willie" George Stolns passed away on March 17, 2016 in Loveland, Colorado after a lengthy battle with cancer. Willie was born in Saratoga on February 15, 1946 to Louis and Anna Stolns. Willie attended school in Saratoga and graduated in 1964. He was drafted in to the Army in 1964 and served in the First Cavalry AirMobile for two years, one of which he served in Vietnam. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has extended the public comment period on the Chokecherry and Sierra Madre (CCSM) Phase I Wind Turbine Development Environmental Assessment (EA) and Draft Finding of No New Significant Impacts (FONNSI) until April 22, 2016. A combination of factors lead to the Saratoga Middle/High School track team not competing in the Glen Legler Invite March 19 in Casper. This wasn’t a huge surprise to coach Rex Hohnholt. There were six people for bridge Monday. High winner was Betty McIlvaine. Second high went to Bob Johnson. There were nine people here for bingo on Tuesday. Two dollar winners were, Winnie Allen, Grace Johnston, Sue Howe, Betty Dean and Janice Kerpan. Janice Kerpan, Winnie Allen, and Madaline Forbes shared a $3 round.
