    Farm Bureau members and their family members are encouraged to apply for one of nine college scholarships offered by the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation. The deadline for those in Carbon County to apply at the county level is April 15, 2014. At that level, up to five $300 scholarships are open to all Carbon County seniors who meet requirements.     2 years ago Feb. 27, 1913 Basketball game and dance Saturday night the Laramie team of basketball players and the Saratoga team met in conflict in the opera house here, and put on a game that was well worth the price to those who attended. Saratoga winning by a score of 31 to 10. The Laramie team was handicapped both by not having two of their players and by being much outweighed by the local team.     The Upper Valley Search and Rescue sold 261 poker hands Sunday at the 16th Annual Ben Romios Memorial Poker Run. A total of $2,610 was brought in from the hands, in addition to other money that was donated toward the event. Six prize money gifts were given to three high winners and three low winners. With Friday’s 29-41 loss against Little Snake River, Encampment ended their regular season 9-12 overall and 3-5 for conference.
