    Twenty-four third to sixth graders started off the evening Tuesday writing spelling words being spoken to them. After five rounds of ten words apiece, the 10 best spellers were selected to head into the verbal portion of the evening. Slowly the 10 were pared down by the up to 8th grade level words.     The Saratoga Panthers hit the road this weekend as they traveled to Cokeville on Friday to play the Panthers and Farson-Eden on Saturday to take-on the Pronghorns.     On Saturday, the Virginian Hotel was the venue for the Midwinter Meltdown which featured seven bands from Laramie. The Meltdown was the brainchild of Jeff Deloe a year ago. Deloe left Laramie this year for Washington and Mike Vanata, Rose Curtis and Keaton Elsasser picked up the torch to keep the music event alive for its second year.
