After several years of delays, the Never Forget Park project appears to be moving along. The committee made up of D'Ron Campbell, Jon Winter, Ron Hutchins, Stacy Crimmins and Joe Parsons has been meeting regularly for over a year. Friday, September 30 the Lady Panthers first game was against Riverside’s Lady Rebels. The Panthers played hard the first game, but couldn’t catch the Rebels at 21-19. Tuesday, Sept 26 proved to be a blow to the Miners when the Tigers laid them out with 3 wins in four games. The Lady Tigers had to fight hard for the first game winning with a two point lead, but the second match came easier at 25-17. It has been a year of adjustment for the Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High School Lady Miner volleyball team as a young, small team goes out on the courts each week.
