Brian Bock and Rory Simonson Jr., of South Dakota, were located by Carbon County Search and Rescue volunteers after spending two nights out in winter conditions last week. Meanwhile, another search was underway in the Snowy Range, headed by Albany County, which went until Jan. 19 when searchers rescued a 18-year-old son and recovered his mother's body. Mary Jo Greenwood-Cline and Heath Cline, of Encampment, welcomed their son Jesse Buster Slaid Cline to the world on Nov. 3, 2015 at 9:06 am. He weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce and was 19 inches long. An arc from a welding machine started a fire at Saratoga Forest Management (Saratoga Mill) early Wednesday morning. Thatcher Spiering grappled his way to first place in the 152 pound weight class last weekend, disrupting top Greybull wrestler Cole Hill’s undefeated season. Two members of the Saratoga Panther track and field team are competing in indoor track for Laramie High School. Jeremy Detterer, of Saratoga, and Ashlynn Johnson, of Encampment, competed in Gillette last weekend. Detterer placed 7th place in the 3200 meter race with a time of 10 minutes and 57.52 seconds. Lady Panther head coach Scott Bokelman has been diagnosed with thyroid lymphoma and his Panther family has his back. A moment of silence in support of Bokelman preceded Saturdays game at Encampment. The facility’s activity program is based on residents’ interests and allows residents to achieve greater self-esteem. It provides continuing contact with the community because of the many volunteers that assist residents in activities.
