In the November 10, 2022, Salute to Veterans article “Proudly Serving” Lieutenant Colonel Brooks first name was incorrectly stated as Robert. Brooks’ first name is John. He has won five awards; two Army Achievement Medals, two Army Accommodation Medals and one Emeritus Service Medal. Three of these were for combat life support to soldiers down range.
Brooks said that less than 15% make it to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
